The meeting was called to order by President Byrne with Chris Knop, Fran Teresi, Superintendent Jeff Sheehan, Solicitor Michele Stuck, Clerk Nancy Baldwin, Bob Matson Jeff Kaiser and Mayor Moser.

 

Moved by Knop, seconded by Teresi to approve the minutes of the May 11, 2009 meeting as presented by the Clerk.

Revenue, Expenditure and Cash balance reports were reviewed.

 

Superintendent’s Report. No action taken.

 

The WWTF/Flow/Precipitation Comparison was reviewed.

 

Ed Seigerst met with Superintendent Sheehan to discuss the Wastewater Treatment Expansion. Superintendent Sheehan gave Ed Seigerst a construction modification for the Wastewater Treatment Plant to take to the County. Final Design should be complete by October 31, 2009. Construction should begin in May of 2010.

 

The Forest and Elm Street Water Main Replacement Project will begin by the end of the week. The project will take 5-7 weeks to complete.

 

Master Meter training went well.

 

Superintendent Jeff Sheehan told the Board the pump for Industrial Drive has been repaired and is ready to be picked up. He asked the Board for authorization to repair another pump on Industrial Drive at a cost not to exceed $2012.00.

 

Moved by Knop, seconded by Teresi to approve the repair of a pump on Industrial Drive at a cost not to exceed $2012.00.

The Consumer Water Quality Report will be sent out by July 1, 2009.

 

Solicitor Michele Stuck gave the Board legislation that says there is no problem with the out of town resident’s water rates.

 

 The Board asked the Clerk how long the 8% sewer increase was in effect. The Clerk will have this information for the next meeting.

 

The Board received a letter from Alyson Hammonds 8169 Windham Street asking them to waive late charges on her account so she can get the account current.

 

Moved by Knop, seconded by Teresi to waive late charges on Alyson Hammonds 8169 Windham Street for six months as long as payments are made on time and the account is current within six months. If payments are not made the late charges will be assessed.

VOTE AYES—Unanimous

 

Mayor Craig Moser told the BPA that the Planning Commission now has an overlay for senior citizens. Solicitor Michele Stuck will put this in ordinance form.

 

The Board will review water and sewer rates in September.
