REGULAR COUNCIL
MARCH 12, 2008
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Moser with Teri Eiermann, Bob Matson, Jeff Kaiser, Chuck Klamer, Karen Clyde, Solicitor Mark Manlove, Clerk Nancy Baldwin, a reporter from the Record Courier. (Rick Patrick absent.)
Moved by Eiermann, seconded by Clyde to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2008 meeting as presented by the Clerk.

Revenue, Expenditure and Cash Balance reports were reviewed.
There was discussion on the status of the Employee Manual. Karen Clyde is working on revisions and will send them to Solicitor Mark Manlove.
Mayor Craig Moser updated Council on the Revolving Loan Funds.
Mayor Craig Moser updated Council on the T-Mobile cell tower.
Moved by Eiermann, seconded by Kaiser to approve Resolution 2008-07, A resolution authorizing the Mayor and Clerk of the Village of Garrettsville to enter into an agreement once terms are finalized with Enviroquip/Kubota for the design and supply of the membrane process portion of the Villages proposed Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion.

Karen Clyde told Council that this is not the right time to do this we should wait until the economy gets better.
Council received a quote from Signature Series Homes to repair the upstairs bathroom and tile the Village Hall floors. The cost is $3975.00.
Moved by Matson, seconded by Kaiser to approve the quote from Signature Series Homes in the amount of $3975.00.

Council decided to purchase light bulbs from the Portage County Commissioners with the money that was received from NOPEC and give the light bulbs to Village residents.
Teri Eiermann invited Council to attend the High School musical Oliver this weekend.
Chuck Klamer updated Council on the sidewalk project for 2008. He suggested that Council increase the resident’s price to $12.00 per linear foot due to the increase in the price of concrete. More discussion at the next Council meeting.
Karen Clyde told Council she is working on the streetlights and will update Council at the next meeting.
